Buongiorno da Macerata

RSG Enkhuizen

M3DLE departed (very) early Sunday morning for their Erasmus+ 6-day exchange in the beautiful, historic city of Macerata in the Marché region. For a number of the pupils, this was their first time flying or their first time to Italy.

IIS Bramante & Pannaggi secondary school was to be our base for our stay working with the penfriends of the group. What a treat it was for our pupils to see this school’s state of the art facilities in economics, photography, creative media, construction & surveying.

After a welcome speech from the headteacher, some introductions from the pupils, it was time to meet the penfriends in person with a pizza in hand and a glass of pop! Tours of the school followed and then it was time to break the ice with a number of group games.

After a warm lunch, it was time to get our first workshop of learning how to use the green screen and to use the cameras. Of course, we needed models and we had a few good ones in our group who certainly weren’t camera-shy.

Once thousands of snaps were taken, it was time to reflect on our learning and start writing up the diaries that are to be used to trace our learning this week. With a walk up into town to hear about this historic city, it was time to head back to our accommodation, in time for some terrific Italian cuisine.
