DLE Pupils earn Red Cross First Aid Certificates

RSG Enkhuizen

On 4th March, five DLE classes at our school participated in a vital First Aid training session, culminating in a practical exam conducted by the Red Cross. This hands-on training followed an online course that pupils had previously completed in English during their Personal Development and Citizenship (PDC) lessons.

As part of a broader initiative within the DLE programme, this project aims to help students understand their role in the community, fostering empathy and a sense of responsibility toward others. The training equipped our pupils with essential life-saving skills, including CPR and the use of AED defibrillators. Under the guidance of Red Cross examiners, every student demonstrated their ability to respond effectively in an emergency.

We are incredibly proud of our pupils for their dedication and commitment to this training. A huge thank you to the Red Cross for their invaluable support in making this experience possible. It’s the little things that count—offering our pupils more than just a diploma, but the knowledge and skills to make a real difference in their communities.
