This week, Marjon van Dam travelled to Brussels to represent our school at the European Innovative Teaching Award (EITA) ceremony, hosted by the European Commission and livestreamed across Europe.

The RSG Enkhuizen won the award in September for our innovative teaching in the Dual Language Education department and the main prize was the trip to Brussels to meet the winners from each European country.

Over the two days, Marjon joined workshops, connected with teachers from across the EU and attended panel discussions on this year’s theme: Citizenship education — participation in democratic life, common values, and civic engagement.

Our school is honoured to have received the award in the Primary and Secondary Education category for The Netherlands. Marjon accepted the trophy on behalf of the entire tto-team — a proud moment for our tto-team, our school and for our community of pupils.
