Graduation 2024

With the semi-final of the European Championships competing with our graduation ceremony, an early start was certainly not sneered upon. Doors opened at 17:00 for our DLE3 (havo/vwo) and DLE 4 (mavo) pupils for their pre-graduation pizza party!

With 350 guests present, opening speeches explained the importance of the evening and the rounding off of the Dual Language Education courses at the RSG Enkhuizen. All pupils had to have followed at least 50% of their lessons in English (havo/vwo) and 30-40% of their educational time at school in mavo. They all had spent 6 days in another country working with pupils in different schools and they had to prove that they had either reached B1 for havo, B2 for atheneum and B1/B2 for mavo in their English language proficiency. With 100% pass rates across the board and even pupils scoring very high at the next level of proficiency, it was certainly a special moment for us all to celebrate.

When it came time, our pupils donned their mortarboards with 2024 charms and ensured that their tassels were on the correct side before mounting the stage to place their signatures on their much coveted TTO-certificates.

Once 86 signatures were placed, the pupils accompanied their parents and guests outside for the closure of the ceremony – the ‘hat throw’ and we bade our fond farewells to our class of 2024!
